YAK-2 is an IDC (Insulation Displacement Contact) type connector which gives you a gas tight connection for jointing of 2 and/or 3 wires without the need of stripping, screwing or soldering. During crimping, the double U-Contact clamps down on the wire, strips the insulation and grips the conductor. The U-Contact provides a spring-energy which maintains high contact presure low contact resistance, offering long-term reliability. |

Features |
In one continuous action with Yak-8 Crimping Tool, easy, fast and reliable connection is completed for any two of these conductor combinations of 0,40-0,90 mm (26-19 AWG) with a maximum outer diameter of 1,80 mm (0,071 in). The size of YAK-2 Connector is ideal to fit the space requirements of each application.
YAK-2 Connector is filled with a corrosion-resistant sealant, which protects connected conductors and U-contacts against water and moisture, thus extending the life of the connection.
Dry, flame retardant Yak-2D and Yak-2F connectors manufactured with UL 94V-0 flame retardant material are applicable for butt splicing of pulp and paper cable. |
